Unity, Empowerment, Progress – SEWA's Commitment.Independence Day
Annually, on August 15th, we joyously observe India’s Independence Day, commemorating the freedom struggle and honouring the valour of our freedom fighters who liberated us from nearly two centuries of British rule. We together hoist the national flag and arrange cultural programs in which local children take part and honour a patriotic spirit, paying tribute to our forefathers’ sacrifices. This occasion serves as a reminder to uphold the cherished values of freedom, unity, and the integrity of our nation.
Republic Day
Every year on January 26th, we commemorate Republic Day, marking the implementation of our constitution. On this day we gather and proudly hoist the Tricolor at our organization premises. We celebrate this day through rallies, and meetings with a focus on making communities aware of the significance of our country’s constitution and various societal issues. Our goal is to take communities at the forefront of our nation and inspire collective efforts for its continual improvement.
International Literacy Day
On International Literacy Day, observed every 8th of September, we conduct awareness campaigns in remote areas, emphasizing the right to education and the pivotal role of education within communities. Through these initiatives, we strive to empower individuals by promoting literacy, spreading awareness about education rights, and highlighting the transformative impact education can have on personal and community development.
International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day is a global celebration of women’s achievements. On 8th of March every year, we conduct impactful programs to raise awareness about women’s rights, responsibilities, and the journey to self-dependence. This year, our focus was on underprivileged women, providing health awareness and intimate hygiene programs. Through these initiatives, we aim to contribute to the holistic development and empowerment of women in our community.
